Action Verbs An action verb tells what the subject does or did.

Action Verbs  Action Verb- Tells what the subject does or did.  Remember that a verb is the main word in the predicate of a sentence.  Example: We bought popcorn at the movie theater.  An action verb can also tell about an action that you cannot see.  Example: We wanted candy too!
