Homework-Students will have homework most nights of the week Projects- These can be classified as long term or short term projects. May include research projects and activities. Labs- These could be done individually or in a lab group but all students will submit their own work. Tests/Quizzes-Quizzes will be frequent to provide feedback to teacher and student.
Grades can be checked using myRCS. ◦ The site does not update instantly ◦ Updates are twice a week. ◦ So if your child has a missing assignment or absent work that is not showing as completed on myRCS my first recommendation is to check again in 24 hours. ◦ If the assignment is still missing have your student speak to me or and I will verify it was turned in.

I am teaching very closely with Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Bowerman. Please use their WebPages while I am in the process of developing my 7 th grade science page. By Second Quarter I expect my page to be finalized.
I expect students to follow the Viking Virtues. Students should come to class on time, prepared to learn. This means coming with all necessary supplies. I expect students to not disrupt the learning of the other students in the classroom. I expect students to actively participate in class and to ask questions. I expect students to be “bucket fillers”.
I am available for help before school, after school and during lunch. I have and will continue to offer opportunities to come in during lunch for binder organization, study sessions, and for additional time to work on some assingments. Lunches are a great time to make up quizzes and other missed assignments as well. I ask parents and students to me in advance to make arrangements in case I already have something else on my calendar.
I have been enjoying my classes because of the young scientists who attend each day. I look forward to watching them grow and explore the world of science.
