Friday’s Quiz Prep: Do you know the following pieces of information? Who was the author of the rough draft of the Declaration? Who were the other members of the Committee of Five? What date, and year did Congress make the Declaration public? What is the purpose of the Declaration? Who did the Founding Fathers believe gave people their rights? What are the 3 Unalienable Rights? What is the purpose of governments? What are the 4 sections of the Declaration? Can you identify some of the grievances we discussed in class? In general, how would you describe what happened to many of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence.

British Advantages : The British had were that they were one of the strongest military powers of that time. They were a very rich country. They also had more men than the Americans. British Disadvantages: The British soldier was not very motivated to win just go home. The British Army was hard to supply. Their generals failed to adapt to the new guerilla techniques of the American forces. American Advantages : The Americans had were that they had a strong desire to be free. They were good at fighting in their own territory. They had better weapons and committed leadership. American Disadvantages: The Americans had were that they had very little money. They had an army of men that were not proffessional.
