28 "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Matt. 6:28-30

“how they grow: they neither toil nor spin”  Mankind is to toil – labor – spin – weave  Our toiling and work will result in something precious.  God will cause clothing and other things to come from our toiling. “And why do you worry about clothes? Consider how the wild flowers grow, they neither work nor weave, but I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was never arrayed like one of these.” - Phillips

We Must Be Busy – Not Idle “Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.” Eph. 4:28 “If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.” 2 Thess. 3:10

Rootless Christians Eph. 4:14 “tossed to and fro” “carried about with every wind of doctrine”

 Ready for hard times  Christians who abide in Christ are prepared Jn. 15:4 “the branch cannot bear fruit of itself” Eph. 3:17 “rooted and grounded in love”

Eph. 4:32 “And be kind one to another” 1 Cor. 13:4 “Love is kind”

 Clothed in His righteousness Gal. 3:27 “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” NASB “…have clothed yourselves with Christ” Eph. 4:24 “and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” The Clothing of A Christian

“I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” Jn. 8:12

 God cares for the birds and the lilies  Why worry about clothing or necessities ?  If God Cares for You, why worry ?

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matt. 6:33
