With members/partners/associates in almost all the states of India SDC – SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT CLUB is a development organization incorporated by some well known social activists of India for the development of Grassroots Communities and is registered under Indian Trust Act An ISO certified organization SDC provides a wide range of effective services and support to its members and bridge the gap between various stakeholders of social change. In a very short span of time the organization delivered high end services to its member organizations and with a key focus on skill development sector it also organized various training programs and workshops for medium and small players in various states of the country. HOW SDC ORIGINATED Hon'ble Prime Minister manifested the capacity of MSMEs for driving economic growth at regional, national and global levels Thought to facilitate investment, foster innovation, enhance skill development and build a sustainable ecosystem for manufacturing sector Realized the availability of surplus manpower of 4-5 crore in the next decade Created the Ministry of Skill Development for removal of disconnect between demand and supply of skilled manpower, building vocational and technical training framework, skill upgradation and building of new skills Ministry joined hands with other relevant ministries, international organizations, industry and NGOs for multi-level engagement and impactful implementation of skill development efforts Ministry also wants to connect with the existing skill development centers, universities and other allied institutions Social Development Club, a nonprofit organization understood the need of such alliance and took the first step.
