Telemachos: As Telemachos begins his journey to rescue his father he is still a boy. He has yet to become independent and learn how to be a leader, but with the help of Athena he is able to achieve a leadership role.. He is able to determine the qualities of a leader and acquire the knowledge of what an enemy is rather than that of a friend.

Actors: Who do you feel would be best fit to represent Telemachos? Paul Wesley: In his role as Stefan in Vampire Diaries, he is a caring friend and would do anything to make sure everyone he loves and cares about is safe. Older than we would like. Charles Michael Davis: His character on the show, The Originals, follows his own rules and does not trust easily, he has one friend he confines in and the rest are considered friends until they cross him. Dylan O’Brien: In his role for, The Maze Runner, he is displayed as a well rounded character and has to overcome various obstacles to get out of a maze he is trapped in. He has to learn to be independent and to grow up and to determine who are enemies and who are friends. Chad Michael Murray: For his character in One Tree Hill, he was also considered to be a caring person and he was the man everyone went to for advice and all the girls wanted to date. A little younger than what we would ideally like.

Conclusion We chose Dylan O’Brien to play Telemachus because of the striking similarities that he has in his playing of Thomas in the Maze Runner and Telemachus’ role in the Odyssey.
