The “Activity Manager” system is used for authorizing personnel to perform specific types of work. Work Activities have been established that describe scope of work, types of hazards, and established safety controls. Personnel must access Activity Manager to review and accept their Work Activity assignments prior to starting work. Activity Manager: Work Planning and Control

Login to Activity Manager: “My Work” Page lists all of your notifications, (A) indicates Action Required. Locate the actionable notification titled Worker Authorization Click "Read Full Description" Click the link "Go to Full Detail” Review the Description of Work, Hazards, and Controls (3 separate tabs) Click the blue pull-down box "Choose An Action" on the top right of the screen Choose "Accept Conditions" Click "OK" Accepting Work Activities

Safety training requirements are pre-determined through assignment to one or more Work Activities in the Activity Manager system. Some courses must be completed before work can be performed (Radiation, Laser). All other courses should be completed within 30 days. Go to the Berkeley Lab Training website for course descriptions and links to on-line training courses and for classroom training course registration.Berkeley Lab Training website Your training profile and course status can also be viewed under the “Dashboards” tab on your Activity Manager home page.
