1915: Bulgaria joined the Central Powers & crushed Serbia Italy turns & declares war on Austria- Hungry then Germany Italy signed a secret treaty with the Allies Oct Launch major offensive on Italy at Caporetto Allies push the Central Powers from Italy

Japan aligns w/ Britain & seizes German outpost in China 1914: Ottomans join Central Powers The Turks close the Dardanelle Straights(connects Black Sea & Med) 1915: Allies send British, Indian, Australian, & New Zealand troops to open the Dardanelle Straights

Allies had to withdraw from the Dardanelles after the Battle of Gallipoli(10months-200 casualties) Ottoman Empire is devastated in 1919
