Presentation transcript:

ROBIN GAYLORD My interest in nursing has come from my desire to help others. My mother suffered from epilepsy and polio. She received excellent care and horrific care. One of her doctors went above and beyond by making house calls. Dr. Belnap made a positive impact on my entire family because he treated all his patients like they were his family. Unfortunately there are people that enter the medical field that do not have the temperament or patients to help others. My mother had surgery every 6 months from 5 years old to 16 years old. While she was in the hospital she would wake screaming due to muscle cramps in her legs. A nurse locked my mother in a closet because she was tired of her screaming. No one should have to experience that, especially in their time of need. My goal has and will always be to make a positive difference.
