Work experience Work experience is a key component of 16 to 19 study programmes. All students are expected to undertake work experience as part of their study programme ‘non- qualification activity’. Department for Education 2015

Work Experience All Year 12 students to complete one week Level 3 students 27 th -31 st March 2017 Students must secure their own placement Placements should be purposeful, challenging and relevant to the young person’s study programme and career aspirations Cannot be paid employment.

Work experience Students need to start looking for their placements now There will be a placement contract to be completed by student, parent and employer Students will need to obtain a copy of the ‘Employers Liability Compulsory Insurance’ and a basic risk assessment will need to be completed by the employer
