 Underscores the necessity of interagency working and tasks Children and Young People’s Services Committees with a key role in this regard.

Children and Young People’s Services Committees (CYPSCs) are a key structure identified by Government to plan and co-ordinate services for children and young people in every county in Ireland.  The overall purpose is to improve outcomes for children and young people, 0 to 24 years, through local and national interagency working.  This will be achieved through enhanced planning, co- ordination and oversight of policy implementation, planning and service provision locally.  CYPSCs act as the structure whereby services work together to achieve shared goals and bridge national policy with local provision.

 The Coordinator for Sligo Leitrim, appointed December 2013  Pre-implementation Meeting in June 2014  First Meeting to outline CYPSCs in September 2014  Facilitated Workshop for CYPSCs January 2015  Since March 2015, the Sligo Leitrim CYPSC has been meeting monthly  Contact with CRiSP, Sligo IT  Establishment of Working Groups under the CYPSC to develop a plan for Children & Young People in Sligo Leitrim

A three year plan called the Children and Young People’s Plan has to be developed by each CYPSC in their county The age profile is 0 – 24 years This plan should be prepared in consultation with children and young people. A mechanism for this is through consultation with Comhairle na nÓg.

 Any groundwork or research that was done in the community prior to the establishment of the CYPSC  The socio-demographic profile  The audit of services  The local needs analysis  Any consultation with, or input from:  Children, Young People and Families  The Community  Agencies / Organisations  The identification of priority needs and objectives  How actions and indicators were developed and agreed upon  Children and Young Peoples Plan – Template 2015

 To that date, ITS had achieved the following:  Built Audit of Services – First Draft-’Hardiker’  Built Needs Analysis – First Draft-’Hardiker’ Points to Note: Reconciliation of Audit For Full First Draft – End of October 2015 Reconciliation of Needs Analysis For Full First Draft – End of October 2015

 Socio-Economic Profile  Local Needs Analysis – Frame-Introduction  In Parallel - Working Groups – Priority Areas  Needs Analysis reflecting 9 Priority Areas based on Needs Analysis Data  Parallel Survey/Template-Deadline – 23 rd September  Building Action Plan  Live Document until October 30 th Each Section of this Plan is built on the preceding section and builds to the succeeding section. This is a thorough and connected method of approach and and makes for a robust evidence based plan, which will also speak to gaps and priority Areas

 23 rd September Deadline- Working Group Data fed back to relevant Chairs  Chairs to feedback to Co-ordinator by the 25 th September  Any other relevant data by the 25 th September to CYPSC Co-ordinator.  Building Plan to Full First Draft Deadline – October 2015
