Some agents developed training curricula of their own. Agents drew upon their FCS expertise: Child development & guidance, parent & family relations, nutrition & foods, health, financial & household management, clothing, & indoor/outdoor safety.

KY Cooperative Extension Adobe Connect Training, November 10, 2011 Keys to Great Parenting and Early Childhood Council Involvement 2000 – 2001: Keys to Great Parenting: Fun and Learning with Your Baby or Toddler was rolled out state-wide – present: Agents became active in Community Early Childhood Councils – KIDS NOW grant to CES funded training of 120 parent educators, 4000 sets of Spanish Keys, and 5000 sets of 11-inch by 17-inch educational posters.

Several agents and the state child development specialist have already become certified. Numerous other agents have expressed interest in certification. They need more information about the process and how they can use their certification.
