Integrating Technology in a Differentiated Classroom Rhonda O. Watson February 18, 2016

Integrating Technology Students of today are considered digital natives who are comfortable with various forms of technology that are fully embedded in everyday life. This concept can present a problem for educators who are digital immigrants. However, effective integration of technology into current classrooms is a necessity if American students are to acquire 21 st Century skills and abilities that provide them with the tools necessary to compete in an increasingly diverse and digital environment. How we teach has to match how students learn today, and technology is a primary component.

What evidence did you see and hear by watching Mr. Pronovost Differentiating Instruction Through Interactive Games that supports what has been learned thus far regarding setting and communicating learning objectives, using the gradual release model, giving feedback, and assessment?

Feedback and Assessment

How does he specifically structure his lesson to incorporate technology? How does using technology promote differentiation?

What evidence is there of varying levels of cognition? Identify the levels of Depth of Knowledge (DOK) you observed students reaching during the various stages of the lesson

How do you believe this type of learning environment makes students feel about their capabilities with math? Why?
