Latoya L. Jones Introduction March 10, 2015

Introduction Personal Identity My name is Latoya Jones. I'am a mother of two beautiful children. I have a fifteen year old daughter and a seven year old son. I'm a Head start teacher. I work with the infant and toddler. I love to travel on my free times from work. I love to shop. I'm from Natchez Mississippi. Below list my personal identity that define me.

Part One:  Part 1: Age---I think my age identify who I am. I am approaching 34 years old on March 26, Each year when my birthday comes I thank god for letting me see another birthday. Then after that I write down all the things I have accomplished different from the last age I was before I turned a new age. Gender---I'm a female. As a female I set bounties for myself my goal is to reach the highest level and continue to grow as a teacher and as a single mother. I want to set a great path for my children to follower after me. Socioeconomic status--- the world created my personal identity I look at how the world is set up in how I want a better life for me n my children Education level -- I went to Natchez high school after that, I attended hinds community college child development associated program once I received that degree,I attended Jackson state university twice I have two degrees one in Sociology and the other one in Child care and family bachelor degrees, last be not least now I'm attending Ashford university to receive my masters in Education with a minor in Reading.

Part One:  Family structures-- my personal identity comes from my family why I say that is because I don't have a lot of people in my family who attended college. I am proud to say I'm the first grandchild who attended college in made a change by farthing my education.

Part Two: . Part2: Environment in which i were raised and type of family structure that surrounded me. The type of environment I was raised in was the county. My grandmother had land out side the city limits. My mother and my grandmother lived next door to each other. The county life was very boring because there were no other children who lived out there. Now that I'm grown I prefer to live in the city limits. My family structure: My family believed in setting up rules to allow all the children at the house to feel safe, to develop self-discipline and to gain a sense of mastery while we were growing up in the house. While growing up my mother was a single parent who raised up three girls by her self. My mother had to set structure for me and my sisters I most say it guide us through life.

Part Two:  Describe in detail the type of schooling you received, from pre-kindergarten through undergraduate work. During my school years from prek - in up until 9 grade I attended school at Jefferson county elementary school. From 10th grade until 12 I went to Natchez high school. After graduating from natchez high I went to hinds community college where I received my associate degree in child development. After finish that degree I went to Jackson university where I received two bachelor degrees. The first degree is in Sociology and the other one is in Childcare and Family. The advice that has been handed down through my family that reflects values held by my ancestors? The advice in my family that plays a big role from generation to generation is " do on to others as you would want them do to towards you. For example, in this quote, it mean respect other people just like you would want them to respect you.
