ACTION PLAN Free Wi-Fi should be accessible in a wide range of areas including cafes and restaurants, and also certain streets. Free WI-FI hasn’t always been reliable at certain locations. We plan on providing WI-FI and charging points that are reliable. Our aim is to deliver fast, reliable, sustainable, free Wi-Fi in order to improve communication in Melbourne. We will put stickers on the ground at places near the hotspot locations so people know where the hotspots are.

BENEFITS Public Wi-Fi will provide support for businesses, improve tourism experience, assist our education and further strengthen Victoria as Australia’s leading Technology state. Providing consistent Wi-Fi services will boost productivity and quality life to residents and tourists. It will also make the city more liveable as there will be more opportunities and encouragement to interact with each other. By adding charging points to our WI-FI plan we want to make life easier for the general public

CHARGING POINTS We plan on putting power plugs around the city in popular tourist attractions It will cost: $4.00 for 25 minutes and free Wi-Fi We will provide chargers for Android, iPhone We will also provide spare spots for other phones (B.Y.O charger) The charging points will also provide free Wi-Fi

CHARGING POINTS LOCATIONS · We plan on putting the charging/hotspots on the major train/stations and trams Currently there are: · 1763 trams stops through the network. · 31,500 trams services are scheduled every week. · There are 24 tram routes in operation.

FLOOR PLAN FLINDERS STREET STATION CHARGING/HOTSPOT POINTS

Tables Chairs Wall Plugs for charging. Also has coin holes to pay for the Wi-Fi We also plan on placing these ‘WI-FI bars’ all around Melbourne
