Part of our Immune system
 Take place in capillaries  But blood has a higher osmotic potential than the surrounding tissue fluid  How would nutrients and water flow out of capillaries??
The Human Lymphatic System All cells of the body are bathed in a colorless watery fluid called intercellular fluid (tissue fluid).
Fig Blood and lymph capillaries. Fig Lymphatic vessels have valves allowing lymph flow toward the veins. How is this like Fig. 21-6?

Y SYSTEM LYMFFATIG THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM

Lymff Lymph  Mae hylif lymffatig yn lliw melyn golau ac yn debyg i blasma o ran ansawdd.  Y prif wahaniaeth rhwng lymff a gwaed yw nad yw’r galon yn pwmpio lymff oddi amgylch y corff  Bydd lymff yn symud oddi amgylch y corff wrth i gyhyrau gyfangu ac wrth i’r corff symud.  Lymphatic fluid is straw-like in colour and has a similar consistency to plasma.  The main difference between lymph and blood is that the heart doesn’t pump lymph around the body  Lymph moves around the body by muscle contractions and bodily movements.

Swyddogaeth y Function of the System lymffatig lymphatic system  Atal y meinweoedd rhag tagu a chwyddo  Cael gwared ar gynnyrch gwastraff o’r gwaed drwy orsafoedd hidlo a elwir yn nodau lymff neu’n chwarennau lymff. Mae’r chwarennau hyn hefyd yn hidlo germau a bacteria, gan eu gwneud yn ddiniwed  Mae’r nodau lymffatig yn cynhyrchu lymffocytau sy’n gwarchod ac yn amddiffyn y corff rhag heintiau ac afiechydon  Cludo brasterau o’r coluddion bach, drwy’r dwythell thorasig, a’u gwagio i’r wythïen isglafiglaidd, sy’n eu cludo’n ôl i lif y gwaed  Prevents the tissues from becoming clogged and swollen  Disposes of waste products taken from the blood via filtering stations called lymph nodes or lymph glands. These glands also filter germs and bacteria and make them harmless  The lymph nodes produce lymphocytes which protect and defend the body against infection and disease  Transports fats from the small intestines, passes through the thoracic duct and empties into the subclavian vein which transports it back to the bloodstream

Manteision Benefits  Mae tylino’n ysgogi’r lymff i lifo. Bydd hyn yn cael gwared ar docsinau a hylif o’r ardal yn gynt  Gall leihau chwyddo cyffredinol  Bydd y cyhyrau wedi ymlacio ac yn gweithio’n fwy effeithiol  Gall gyflymu’r broses o amsugno sylweddau gwastraff  Gan ei fod yn helpu i adnewyddu celloedd, bydd y croen yn feddalach ac yn llyfnach  Massage stimulates the flow of lymph which will remove toxins and fluid from the area faster  General swelling can be reduced  Muscles will be relaxed and work more efficiently  Absorption of waste matter can be speeded up  Skin will be softer and smoother because cell renewal is helped
