THREE THINGS THE DEVIL WANTS TO DO: 1. The devil wants to steal your faith.

I PETER 5:8-9 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

THREE THINGS THE DEVIL WANTS TO DO: 2. The devil wants to kill your freedom.

GALATIANS 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

II CORINTHIANS 3:17 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

THREE THINGS THE DEVIL WANTS TO DO: 3. The devil wants to destroy your future.

LUKE 23: For if people do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?” 32 Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed.

ENJOYING JESUS 1. Change your view of Jesus.

I JOHN 5: And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

ENJOYING JESUS 2. Approach him through a relationship, not rules.

JOHN 5: You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life.

I JOHN 5:3 3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome

ENJOYING JESUS 3. Give Him your whole heart.

JEREMIAH 29: You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the L ORD, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the L ORD, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”

HEBREWS 11:6 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

ENJOYING JESUS 4. Respond to sin with life.

ROMANS 8:1-2 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

ENJOYING JESUS 5. Guard your heart from going back.

PROVERBS 4:23 23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
