INGREDIENTS 4 eggs 125g of sugar 125g of flour Some strawberry jam One tea spoon of baking powder
STEP 1 Separate the whites and the egg yolks.
Mix the yolks with the sugar gradually until the mixture goes pale. STEP 2
STEP 3 Add litttle by little the flour and the baking powder.
STEP 4 Beat white eggs until stiff then incorporate them slowly into the rest of the preparation.
STEP 5 Spread this dough finely over a baking tray. Cook 10/12 minutes in the oven at 180°C. Tip : Check the cooking by inserting a knife in the cake : the knife has to remain clean.
STEP 6 Cut the cake in 2 identical parts. Spread the jam over one of the 2.
STEP 7 Cover with the other part. Sprinkle finally with icing sugar.
