GEOMETRY WITH TRIGONOMETRY Geometry is a field of study that has its roots in Euclid's original work which attempted to look at things on a plane. He was interested in studying points, lines, planes, lengths, areas, angles and so on. This led to the study of more complex things like congruency, parallel lines, polygons, angles inside of polygons and circles. The word trigonometry comes from the Greek and means triangle measurement. Trigonometry is the study of the relations between the angles and lengths of sides of triangles. At least that is the way it started back with a Greek mathematician Aristarchus of Samos (310 to 230 BC). They had tables of shadow length that are just like our tangent tables. The Babylonians and Greeks used trigonometry to do astronomy. Today, trigonometry is introduced to students as a method for finding the missing parts of right triangles. In this form it is used by surveyors, architects and engineers, as well as navigators and astronomers. So, it is pretty important. So geometry includes trigonometry as an essential part.

GEOMETRY IN CHEMISTRY Molecular Geometry - Molecular geometry refers to the description of the shape of polyatomic ion or a molecule which would appear to naked eye. It is important to be able to predict and understand the molecular structure of a molecule because many of the properties of a substance are determined by its geometry. Geometry is used to measure the bond angles of a bond. Example- Bond angles in double bond, triple bond, single bond etc. If we the structure of graphite it consists of hexagons which is also related to geometry and this hexagonal shape provides the placement of carbon atoms. Geometry is used to find the radius of an orbits as well as the distance between two orbits. While representing many compounds starting with cyclo prefix, the are usually denoted as a geometrical shape. Benzene

COMPUTATIONAL GEOMETRY Geometry is part of the fundamentals of any type of design. It makes use of the angles and relationships between shapes, which will eventually for parts, arches, hallways and anything else designed on a computer. In computers, there are various software like AUTOCAD, Unity, 3DS MAX etc. These software are used for the various 2D & 3D applications and games and are mainly based on geometry or rightly said as coordinate geometry. These programs are used by architects and various developers to develop various 3D models as a blueprint or pre-design. In basis computing also geometry is used for various purposes like placing of pixels, MS Paint, movement of cursor on screen on the screen.
