GA’s Executive Branch Want Ad Imagine that jobs of Georgia’s Governor and Lieutenant Governor have suddenly become available. Imagine further that nobody is running for the office! The position of governor is extremely important and you have been assigned to help fill the vacancy. Create a want ad for a new Governor and Lieutenant Governor that meets the following requirements: 1) Requirements to hold office (20%): Age Citizenship U.S. Residency Georgia Residency 2) Term of office (30%): Term length 3) Duties (20%): FOR GOVERNOR ONLY: Formal powers Informal powers FOR LT. GOV. ONLY: What the Lt.Gov. is responsible for doing as the presiding officer of the senate and if something were to happen to the governor.
