Nicole Callahan Joins BCG Attorney Search as a Legal Recruiter in its New York Office. Nicole Callahan has a scientific background, and earned a Ph.D. in neuroscience before attending law school. Callahan comes to BCG Attorney Search with over a decade of experience in New York City’s thriving legal community. New York City, NY (PRWEB) February 06, 2013 BCG Attorney Search, the most selective legal recruiter in the United States, is pleased to announce that Nicole Callahan has joined the legal recruiting firm’s New York City office. Callahan is a former intellectual property litigator and law school professor, and brings more than ten years of experience in IP law to BCG Attorney Search.legal recruiting firm’s New York City Callahan has a scientific background, and earned a Ph.D. in neuroscience before attending law school. Upon graduating, she practiced intellectual property law at the boutique firm Fitzpatrick Cella Harper and Scinto in New York City. Callahan comes to BCG Attorney Search with over a decade of experience in

New York City’s thriving legal community. “I think New York is a place where a lot of attorneys would like to practice. It is fast paced, very competitive, and there is a lot of exciting litigation going on,” said Callahan. Her experience in one of the world’s leading legal markets gives her insight into what opportunities are available for the attorneys she works with, and a strong understanding of the city’s law firms and what each is looking for in a new hire. Callahan decided to move into legal recruiting after her experiences counseling her students as a law professor at Pace University. “I really enjoyed helping my students with their lives beyond law school, and in particular, working with them to determine what direction they wanted to take their careers,” says Callahan. “I decided that, as a legal recruiter, I could continue to help people with their careers full-time.” Callahan approaches each attorney she works with as an individual, and believes that everyone has a unique story that she is excited to hear. By thoroughly understanding each attorney’s past experiences, present needs and ambitions for the future, she can place them with a firm that will change their careers for the better. Callahan’s previous experience in the IP litigation field gives her a strong understanding of the IP market, which is an in-demand practice area in New

York City and across the entire East Coast. “Intellectual property litigation is really huge right now,” she explains. “Science is always advancing, and that means there is always a need for good attorneys with a technological background. Law firms are constantly on the lookout for IP attorneys, and, in the last few years, more people with technology backgrounds are going to law school, so firms are always trying to acquire more tech- and science-oriented people as they graduate.” Though her background is in science and intellectual property, Callahan has studied, taught, and practiced law in one of the most diverse legal markets in the world, and has first-hand experience with a number of other practice areas. “Commercial litigation is another in-demand area here in New York,” says Callahan. “Because the economy is slowly recovering, there is an increase in the need for commercial litigation attorneys. There have been big shifts in practice areas over the last five or six years and that is probably going to continue.” “Nicole Callahan is a talented teacher, brilliant scholar, and respected attorney,” said A. Harrison Barnes, CEO of BCG Attorney Search. “Those qualities alone would make her an excellent legal recruiter, but Callahan is also truly interested in other people and helping them to advance their careers. Additionally, she has tremendous experience in the New York City and East Coast legal communities.
