2 NON-STATE ACTORS RESULTS On the Contrary…. - Experience and establishment of NSAs (80%) - Membership to SADC National Committee (10%) - Membership to regional umbrella body (40%)

3 NON-STATE ACTORS RESULTS Perceptions of SADC regional integration - Perceptions of RI impact for those in agreement and those who disagree was generally balanced. - Very few strongly agreed/ disagreed on impact of RI - Outstanding was 70% that agreed that RI will create new export opportunities and 60% that agreed to general economic benefits from RI

7 NON-STATE ACTORS RESULTS Concluding remarks - Important to take note is the fact that generally, NSAs in South Africa are in favour of SADC RI. - issue of capacity building to improve the NSAs knowledge and ability to engage in effective and fruitful debates on RI.
