Squares Most ordered. Sequence, logic, neatness. Keeps excellent records. Data is important. Good with details. May not see the big picture.

Triangles Take control. Like to be in charge. Like to problem solve. Have difficulty seeing other points of view. Make decisions quickly. Resist change.

Circles Concern for others Process more important than product. Harmony is important. Good at communicating.

Squiggles Most creative, least ordered. Can operate without parameters Have trouble sticking to the point Can consider many activities at once. Weak on follow-through and details.

Styles

Authoritarian Behavioral leadership style that leads and makes decisions independent of the group.

Democratic Behavioral leadership style that leads and makes decisions based on the input of the group.

Laissez-Faire Group makes decisions with very little, if any, input from leader.

1. Trait Theory: Distinctive qualities a person possesses increases the likelihood they will become a leader, such as intelligence.
