Personal hygiene Small children don’t think about personal hygiene — it doesn't even enter their minds that they are dirty or smelly If they are going to be clean, their family has to do it for them Parents take on the responsibility for washing them, putting them in clean clothes and ensuring that they are free from viral or bacterial skin infections As they grow up, when does it become their own responsibility?

Take responsibility It may be surprising, but a lot of teenagers still don’t think about whether they're dirty or smelly If they haven’t ever been taught the simple and fairly obvious rules of looking after themselves, they may not be as hygienic as they should be You are not a small child any more, so you need to take responsibility for your own personal hygiene

Preventing poor hygiene Hygiene is an important part of maintaining good health There are two factors that are important to everyone, but particularly to people who take part in sport: –Keeping the body clean –Cleaning clothing and equipment
