Science and EOT Highlights Led by Warren Froelich, SDSC 2009 & 2010 Completed production of 2009 Science Highlights in time for Supercomputing ‘09 conference Assist with the production of EOT Highlights book March 2010 began searching for stories for 2010 Science Selection criteria: »Transformative research »Resources from Multiple Resource Provider sites. »Typically under-represented individuals or fields— emerging applications or new use of technology. »Could not have been accomplished without TeraGrid. »Projects with successful broader impact outcomes. »Collaboration with other grids, international partners, business, or industry.

We need more stories for 2010 & 2011! Currently have 24 amazing prospects for 2010, need more!!! –We typically develop about 20 Science and 20 EOT Highlights

International Science Grid This Week (OSG/TG Collaboration) Why? Not influenced by vendors—totally impartial. Growing readership. Tell our story. Explore ways to provide targeted delivery of information to stakeholders. SAB recommends TG journal, next best thing 2009 TG/OSG statement of joint principles & pending ExTENSI proposal— 2009 OSG/TG letter of support—iSGTW collaboration Current iSGTW funding source (US) ends in 2011— seek funding from NSF/others Mutual Goal… Promote global communication within and among communities of interest across geo- and cyber- political boundaries. Current readership in every continent, offers an established venue in which to inform the global cyberinfrastructure (CI) community of technological advances, transformative science, professional and workforce development opportunities, new uses of technology in previously underrepresented fields of research, and creative ways to fund and sustain local CI that will augment broader CI initiatives.
