Graph-a picture of information from a data table that shows the relationship between variables.
- one in which the data points form a straight line.
Axis Horizontal-runs left to right AKA x-axis Vertical- runs up and down AKA y-axis
Origin- point labeled where the x and y axis meet. Coordinate- a pair of numbers used to determine the position of a point on a graph.
Data Points-points on a graph showing the location of a piece of data.
A smooth line that reflects the general pattern of a graph. Slope-steepness of a graph Rise y 2 -y 1 Slope= = Run x 2 -x 1
a graph in which the data points do not fall along a straight line. Ex: Graphs with curved paths.
