STATISTICS...  Over 21,000 clients served in FY 2009  7,976 flights completed in FY 2009  6,400 Commercial Airline  1,446 Volunteer Pilot  130 Air Ambulance  Public benefit exceeded $3,500,000

FUNDING...  Individuals  Churches  Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)  Workplace Campaigns  Foundations and Corporations 96% of Mercy Medical Airlifts budget goes directly to services – only 4% is spent on admin & fundraising

PATIENT QUALIFICATIONS...  Have financial need  Verified by clergy, social worker, etc  Medically cleared to fly  Mandatory before we can coordinate a flight  Be ambulatory and able to sit upright  Provide 5 business days notice  Exceptions based on situation Above doesn’t apply for air ambulance service...

PROGRAMS...  National Patient Air Transport Helpline  Provides information about all forms of charitable, long- distance medical air transportation and provides referrals to all appropriate sources of help available in the national charitable medical air transportation network  Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic  Ambulatory outpatients traveling less than 1000 miles departing from District of Columbia, Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia

PROGRAMS...  Airlift Hope  Ambulatory outpatients traveling less than 1000 miles departing from North Carolina, Tennessee  Charitable Patient Airline Tickets  Patient travel exceeds 1,000 miles  Reasons that preclude flying in general aviation aircraft  Air Compassion America  Patient travel requires air ambulance and medical monitoring en route – average savings of 38%

PROGRAMS...  Air Compassion For Veterans  Provide medically related air transport services to troops, veterans and their immediate family members  Homeland Security Emergency Air Transportation System (HSEATS)  HSEATS is the disaster response component of MMA  2,600 missions completed in KATRINA response  Child/Special Lift  Provides for nationwide administration of clinical trial travel requirements in support of special/rare disease organizations.
