Multidisciplinary Studies An endorsement is essentially a sequence of courses in a career cluster that will better prepare our students for a career they are potentially interested in

For Example: A student wanting to be a welder will earn a “Business and Industry” endorsement and complete the following sequence of courses: 9th Grade:Principles of Agriculture 10 th Grade:Principles of Architecture and Construction 11 th Grade:Welding 12 th Grade:Welding II For Example: A student wanting to be an engineer will earn a “STEM” endorsement and complete the following sequence of courses: 9th Grade:Principles of Architecture 10 th Grade:Engineering Design 11 th Grade:Concepts of Engineering, Robotics 12 th Grade:Aeroscience, Practicum

Required Assessments For Class of 2017, 2018 and Beyond English I English II Algebra I US History Biology All students must meet at least the level two standard on all 5 EOCs to meet graduation requirements. Retests are in December, July, and taken with the Spring Administration.

If your student plans on practicing, competing and receiving and athletic scholarship during their first year at a Division 1 or 2 school, they must be certified as eligible by the NCAA Eligibility Center. Dual Credit Basics Dual Credit students must: Add Dual Credit class to Bridges Plan First apply online to Lonestar College Complete Dual Credit packet from Celie Herbst (Spring) Test in March or April at Lonestar College and bring scores to KPHS See Counselor about College Prep Course if they do not meet TSI Requirements Follow college guidelines when dropping a dual credit course.
