Transportation By: Simrat and Katie

The first natives traveled lots of different ways. They traveled by horses( the horses came from Spanish), canoe, kayak, umiak ( a umiak is an eskimo boat that is made with skin stretched over a wooden frame) and in the winter they traveled by a dog and sled.

If they wanted to hunt for fish, they would go in a long canoe and fish.

Horses would get the first nation people to places quicker.

In winter they would ride on their sleds with their dogs leading the way.
