EA 1 Mock Exam Get out your “guide to Paper 1” packet, a blue or black PEN, and several pieces of paper.

EA1 Reminders Read the questions first – you will have 5 minutes of read time (NO WRITING) Answer the questions in order – each one builds off of one another Do not simply summarize the sources  ANALYZE! Be clear in your statements – “The origin is valuable because….” “Source B and D are similar because….” “Source A says……” Pace yourself….save 25 minutes for question four. – Question 4 is the “mini-essay.” It is the only one you will have an intro/conclusion and requires your own knowledge You don’t HAVE to know a lot about the topic – you will learn as you read. Remember – you are demonstrating your content knowledge AND historical skills, so make sure you are answering the question and including specific details/evidence Avoid vague statements, generalizations and fluff Reference the source (Source A, B, etc.) and do NOT use excessive quotes. Write legibly  we will peer edit on Monday
