Representation of Lesson Preposition.

Preposition- A word which sits before a noun or pronoun and makes relationship with it is called Preposition. Put The book on the table.

Classification 1.There are Eight types of Preposition. 2.Single Preposition 3.Double Preposition 4.Compound Preposition 5.Phrasse Preposition 6.Participle Preposition 7.Disguised preposition 8.Detouched Preposition

Single Preposition- A preposition consists of only one word is called Single Preposition.For Instance- On, in,at, to. For, of,from. Double Preposition-A preposition consists of two words or double words is called Double Preposition.For Example- Into, without, within, upto=up+to,

Compound Preposition- I f a preposition consists of two words or more than two words to generate a new one is called a Compound Preposition. Such as-on+by+out=About. On+long=Along.

Phrase preposition-If a phrase acts as a preposition,that is called Phrase preposition.As for example: Rahul did the work instead of Rohit.

Participle Preposition- If a participle acts as a preposition, that is called participle preposition. * Participle-Whenever a word acts as a verb and adjective that is called Participle. Likewise,I have seen a written document.Here the word ‘written’ is a participle and It has been acting as a preposition sitting before a noun.So, It is a participle preposition.

Disguised Preposition- Whenever a preposition acts in disguised way that is called Disguised preposition.Such as –He went a hunting. In this sentence ‘a’ is replaced for ‘On’. Another example,It’s 10 o’clock. ‘O’ is used here in lieu of ‘of’.

Detouched Preposition- If a preposition is does not sit in its proper place or before a noun or pronoun,rather sits in an individual way is called Detouched Preposition. As for instance - Why are you waiting for ? Where have you come from ?

Usages of Preposition For- জন্য,About – সম্পর্কে, Of- র, এর Besides- ব্যতীত / ছাড়া,On- দিন / তারিখ বুঝাতে। In- বড় স্থা্নের পুর্বে। At- ছোট স্থানের পুর্বে।
