From the communist reform (1949) Until reduction of number of regions (1960) ● 1949: – Total reorganization of territorial and administative division – Annulment of provincial establishment and statutory cities – Jihlava region was almost the same as today Vysočina region – The head of the region was the National Region Committee
From reduction of number of regions (1960) Until creation of new regions (2000) ● 1960: – Number of regions was reduced to 8 from 13 – Number of districts was reduced to 75 from 187 ● 1990: – Abolition of National Region Committees ● 2000: – Creation of the new regions (This is until today )
