 An integrated reporting tool developed by SCC Soft Computer that allows the user to design both ad hoc and patient results reports.  It also offers a web based tool called SoftReports Launcher that allows the user to run, schedule and track ad hoc reports.  The visual query builder functionality generates the SQL needed to create queries which makes it easy to use. Scheduling Tips  The lab printer scheduler and the SoftReports Launcher share the same crontab.  It is recommended that reports be scheduled at least 5 minutes between each job, whether or not the job is run from the Print Scheduler or SoftReports Launcher.

Create Custom Desktop  Custom Desktops offer a method of placing reports on a desktop so users may easily access the reports.  Reports may be placed on the desktop by category.  The user must have rights to SoftReports Launcher in order for them to access the Custom Desktop.
