 WINS mission is to help women help themselves  Through innovative and effective programs and services. At WINS, they strive to:  Provide compassion and support  Encourage lifelong learning  Operate with integrity and honesty  Demonstrate respect for one another

 WINS is a charitable not-for-profit organization  Based in Calgary, Alberta  Established in 1992  WINS has grown from one thrift store to four stores throughout Calgary  WINS now operates three Family Resource Centers in low-income housing areas

WINS goals are;  To help women and their families  To operate donation-driven thrift stores  To provide goods to women in need  Contribute to the financial sustainability of the Society  To promote lifelong learning opportunities

Who We Help:  Women and their families in low-income situations  Women entering or coming out of shelters  Single mothers and their children  New immigrants  Those on income assistance

Did you know?  Nearly 140,000 people in Calgary live in poverty  Single parent families have the lowest incomes  80% of lone parent families are women  In Calgary, 21% lone-parent families have low-income  Over 38,000 Calgary children live in low- income households

There are a number of ways you can help WINS  Making a financial donation  Volunteering at a clothing drive  Volunteering in the Family Resource Centers  Holding a Donation Drive or Event  Shopping at one of their stores
