PBS Education: CONFIDENTIAL20 EDCAR PROOF OF COLLABORATION Overview Test the ability to share content across the system 8 stations contributed over 150 digital assets to repository UEN (eMedia), WGBH (Teachers Domain) and MPT (Thinkport) demonstrated real-time access to shared content in their existing digital services Learning Session demonstrated the ability to create a collection of assets from many stations around a single topic Proof-of-Collaboration tested with K-12 teachers in focus groups

PBS Education: CONFIDENTIAL24 EDCAR Rights Classifications Four rights classifications for EDCAR assets for educational non-commercial use: Level Ø: Stream Only Users can stream and/or view content within an EDCAR interface Level 1: Stream and Download Users can stream and download content to desktop Level 2: Stream, Download and Share (Recommended Minimum for EDCAR) Users can stream, download and share content by sending files and/or bookmarks (with attribution) to other users Level 3: Stream, Download, Share and Modify (Goal) Users can do all of above and edit/remix the asset

PBS Education: CONFIDENTIAL25 EDCAR Digital Asset Standard Metadata Curriculum Standards Controlled Vocabulary Curriculum Framework Every asset will be aligned to the 50 state standards based on the curriculum taxonomy and controlled vocabulary. The standard metadata are the baseline fields required for an asset to enter the system. Every asset will be aligned to one or many nodes in the framework to ensure curriculum coverage.
