Role plays Cards : Waiter in a restaurant: Young, good-looking Just fallen in love No Coca Cola left Guests 1 and 2: Two teenagers Order pizza and Coke Very hungry! How would you prepare this activity with your students, and how can they assess each other/themselves afterwards?

ELP-TT Self-assessment, peer assessment and project work: spoken production Learners work in groups to prepare a presentation in the target language on a particular topic. The whole class discusses what will make a good presentation, and key features are noted on a poster. Each group chooses a leader who is responsible for co-ordinating the work.

ELP-TT Self-assessment, peer assessment and project work After the presentation the group leaders meet to compare the presentations and identify positive and negative points. At the same time, individual learners write a reflection on the contribution they made to the group work. The final evaluation of all projects follows, first in groups and then as a whole-class activity. (Little, D. & Perclov á, R. (2001).
