 Form tutors will check planners every Monday afternoon. Please ensure you have looked at, and signed your daughter’s planners at the end of each week/over the weekend.  If you have any concerns regarding homework, then please contact the form tutor, they can then look into this.  Your daughter’s form tutor should be the first person you contact with any concerns. However, if your concern is curriculum based, then please contact the teacher, or Head of Department. You will find the e mail addresses for all HOD’s in your pack.  We have been promoting the benefits of reading. Your daughter is expected to bring a reading book to school every day.  During form time on a Monday, your daughter is expected to silent read.  Students who read do not just do better at subjects like English and History. They do better at all subjects and they do better all the way through school.  Reading improves vocabulary, as well as improving memory, focus and concentration. Tradition * Innovation * Community * Achievement

 Important that students get into good habits early Show My Homework  Way of checking the homework set and dues date  You do not need a log in to see what homework is being set, this can be accessed through the school homepage.  The planner is also used to record homework.  Good attendance and punctuality is essential.  Please do send your daughter to school, even if she has a headache or stomach ache.  We do have a medical room if your daughter is really feeling unwell; you will then be contacted to collect her.  If your daughter is absent she must ensure she catches up on all work set. This is really important, as your daughter’s have now started their GCSEs.  Please contact the attendance officer if your daughter is going to be absent or late to school.  If your daughter is going to be off for a period of time e.g. for an operation, please contact your daughter’s form tutor who can arrange some work for your daughter to complete.
