Create a Picture and Music folder 1.Open your folder in GMS student on the desktop. (NOT IN CITRIX!!) 2.Right click in the screen. 3.Choose NEW then FOLDER. Click on Folder. 4.A new folder will show up with “New folder” highlighted. Type the new name “Pictures”. 5.Repeat for “Music” folder.

Finding and Saving Pictures 1.Open Google in Internet Explorer. 2.I want you to find and save 5 pictures in your new folder. Find a tree, bird, flower, animal, and a car. Search google images for the picture. Click on the picture you want. Then click on full size image. Right click in the picture. Choose “Save Picture as” Click on Desktop, GMS teacher, find your #, then picture folder. Rename picture then click SAVE. 3.Continue until you have found all 5 pictures.

Photostory- Introduction 1.Open Photostory from Start menu, all programs. 2.Click NEXT to begin a new story. 3.To import pictures, they have to be in a file on the computer. Even if you have pictures on a disk, flash drive or camera, they have to be downloaded into your picture folder. 4.You can only work on a story start to finish on one computer!

Importing Pictures 1.Click on Import Pictures. 2.Click on Desktop, GMS student, find your #, then picture folder. 3.You may click on one picture and import one at a time or left click on one picture, hold down the shift key and then left click on the last picture you want to import. 4.Then click OK. 5.Repeat until all your pictures have been imported. 6.Then click NEXT.

Title your Pictures 1.You can add titles to your pictures. Type the title in the box. You can change the font, color, size, and placement of the writing. 2.Click on each individual picture to add titles. 3.When you finish, click NEXT!

Customize Motion 1.Click on Customize motion under the picture if you want to change the way the picture appears. 2.Here you can change the amount of time the picture is shown. (Motion and Duration Tab) You have to change each picture individually. 3.Click the Transition tab to change the way the picture displays. Like in Powerpoint. You have to transition each picture individually. 4.When finished with each picture, click SAVE, then CLOSE. 5.You can preview your story by clicking the preview button. 6.When all finished, click NEXT.

Adding Music 1.You can create music or import music. To create Music: Click on Create Music Choose the style, tempo and intensity Play music to hear what it will sound like To import Music: You will have to download music into your music folder. Put CD into drive Choose Rip Music from CD, Click OK Check the songs you want to rip Click on Change settings Change Folder, Find your # and Music folder Then click OK. Click Select Music, Find your folder with song and click ok. Preview the story. When finished click NEXT.

Finishing the Story If you need to save your project to work on later, you can click SAVE Project. This does not save the finished story!! To create your finished story: Highlight save story for playback. Click on BROWSE, to choose the place you want it saved. Your folder or flash drive. Then click NEXT. Your story will be created and can not be edited!! You can go BACK and the story also. I always do.
