Objective  I want to give you ideas that you can take back to your classroom or school and use.

Comic Strips  Areas Addressed:  Science-How information travels to our brain through our senses  Literacy-Retelling the events  Art- Drawing a comic strip  Collaboration:  Student teacher from the art class  College student studying graphic design

Comic Strip Continued  How?  I taught science unit.  This was the assessment.  I collaborated with student teacher to teach about creating comic strips.  College student came in and gave presentation (similar to mine, but REAL).  Students created comic strips. The BEST part: Students LOVED this activity and I then included it as an option for future assessments.

Layers Project  Areas Addressed:  Science:4-Ess1-1  Literacy Standards: Using technology to publish work.  Art: creating textures in clay  Technology: Taking pictures and importing them into a presentation  Collaboration:  Art Teacher- Teach art  Technology Coach- to teach power point, using cameras, and uploading pictures to power point

Layers Project- Continued  How?  This was a LONG unit.  Taught the science information  Taught creating textures with clay  Tech. Coach taught how to complete the presentation:  Camera usage  Power Point usage  Uploading pictures
