11/22/20163 CNH | California-Nevada-Hawaii Key Club District District Education The Thirst Project History Founded by Seth Maxwell on May 9 th, 2008, in Southern California The idea began when Seth and a small group of friends handed out water bottles to the public, while spreading information about the water crisis. From the water bottles, $1,700 was donated to build their first freshwater well. Schools began inviting the college students to speaking events, and the dream of the Thirst Project began.
