TODAY`S TOPIC Farmer of Bangladesh

Who is a farmer? A farmer is person who lives by farming or growing agricultural production.

What do our farmers grow in Bangladesh? Our farmers grow Rice, Jute, Sugarcane, potatoes and many other crops.

Our farmers also grow many kinds of vegetables all the year round

Beside agricultural crops, our farmers grow many kinds of fruits.

Our farmer also cultivate and grow many kinds of flowers

Our farmers are to work even in extreme hot, heavy rain and biting cold

Often our farmers are to work from morning till dusk.

Farmers are to cultivate their fields, prepare fields, sow seeds, water the plants, apply manure, apply insecticides, look after the crops and cut them to bring back home.

Our farmers get very happy when they get good harvest and earn much money

Again our farmers get very shocked and fall in danger when they lose their crops and can not earn.

The life of our farmers totally depends on the Marcy of nature. Their crops may be affected by storm, tidal bores, flood, drought, river erosion, water logging and may be destroyed fully.

The work of farmers are full of risk. They may fall in danger any time and lose their life in work fields alone.

Their family member get anxious for their safe return in time of natural calamities and pray for their safe return

Our farmers are the backbone of our economy

They ensure food safety for all

Without their works our country will face food shortage and it will bring hunger and death

So govt and we should continue helping our farmer and share their joy and sorrows

So we must respect our farmers for their important works for the country.

See you in the next class

The Life of A Farmer The person who does the work of farming or cultivating the land for agricultural production is known as a farmer. In Bangladesh the life of a farmer is not so good. He inherits a little land. He is illiterate. He does not know how to plough his land scientifically. He can not apply scientific method. He has only a pair of bullocks and some hand made tools. Often he has not enough money to buy seeds, fertilizer or pesticide. As a result he can not produce more food for himself and his family. He can not make proper use of his land. He gets up early in the morning, goes to his land, ploughs it, sows the seeds and weeds out. He grows rice, jute, Sugarcane, Potatoes,Vegetables,Fruits and flowers and so on. He comes home at noon, eats his meal, takes rest and again goes to his land. He is born poor. His luck is totally depend on the mercy of nature.Sometimes he takes loan from the money lenders. If he cannot repay the load, he sells the piece of land. A farmer is left on the mercy of nature. He has pleasures and pains in life. If he gets a good harvest, his face beams with joy. On the other hand if the crops are not good, his sorrows know no bounds. He and his family starve. He leads a very poor life. Though he works hard, he can not lead a decent life. He can not raise his head from the fear of wants. His life is meant for struggle of existence. He is the back bone of our economy and ensures food safety in our country. Without his work our country will face food crisis and eventually face starvation and death. So Govt and we must stand by him in well and woe to help them. We should give them proper honor.
