The audience will come to a station that is colorful and eye catching. A tri-fold with “How do we reach all learners?” The board will display diverse learners all trying to reach the word Success. We will have brochures for the audience to take with them about UDL and technology as well as a laptop that gives the audience the opportunity to participate in different apps that cater to all diverse learners. UDL, Universal Design Learning, is a framework of learning that is utilized to meet the needs of all learners. “Universal design for learning provides a vision for breaking the one-size-fits-all mold and therefore expands the opportunities for learning for all students with learning differences. Recognizing and responding to diversity is a core motivation for engaging in UDL practices” (Edyburn, 2013). UDL supports career and technical education because students are not isolated to one subject of learning but is given the opportunity to learn about a program that meets their interest. This framework is beneficial because it creates an environment that meets the needs of all students while catering to their interest, and preparing them with career skills.

UDL is making learning more engaging for all students. According to CAST video, UDL at a Glance, by "Universal" we mean curriculum that can be used and understood by everyone. UDL caters to the individual child by providing a concept of learning that is flexible, engaging, and supports the learning needs of all students. The idea is to eliminate those barriers that prevent all children from learning, and UDL does this by using three principles. One is by Providing multiple means of representation, so graphics and animations or support vocabulary. Two is by providing multiple means of action and expression, so modeling and giving feedback. Three is by providing multiple means of engagement, so giving students choices to keep their interest. UDL provides an opportunity for teachers to be innovative and find ways to meet each child’s needs based on different learning techniques and resources. The main focus is to assure that all students are achieving based on their learning needs and ensuring they are being met with the Common Core Standards.

The audience will work together to create a UDL lesson plan. This way they can recognize the benefits of incorporating UDL in the classroom environment. Keyboarding Tools Keyboarding is an essential course that students should take because it caters to the 21 st century outcome Learning and Innovation skills. In order to understanding how to operate and utilize computer in time efficient manner you have to learn how to keyboard. This then aids in critical thinking skills, communicating, collaborating with peers, and showcasing a students creativity. students creativity. According to ICT Literacy, applying technology effectively means using technology for research, organize, evaluate, and communcate information. Keyboarding is a way to utilize the ICT Literacy and technology. A technology tool that students will be able to use in multiple courses is an Eportfolio. Students will be able to add coursework to this portfolio that can help aid them in their future academically and professionally.

 The audience will have the opportunity to see an example Eportfolio. As well as take a sample keyboarding class that children will take to help aid in their success in school. They will see how this class is the stepping stone to ensuring students success with technology.  If student had access to technology it would help aid in them advancing in a world that is solely relying on technology to communicate, collaborate, and critical think. “This generation of students is considered more competent in use of technology (ie, tech-savvy) than previous generations because they have been surrounded by technology all of their lives” (Thiele, Mai, & Post, 2014).
