OH Workstream Vision – agreed at regional launch day “To adopt a regional set of standards and guidance that ensures all agreed Occupational Health information will be shared and transferred with all regional employees when moving from Trust to Trust.”

Our Solution – 4 key steps agreed to achieve Vision Vision Develop guidance for consistency with Pre – placement Agree how OH services transfer information and what should be transferred when employees moving between Trusts Ensure consistency in Immunisation Clearance Data - Regional KPI for pre-placement (in line with recruitment time to hire) & demonstrate impact of programme

Our Solution – Some of the key elements needed to develop solution Engagement of large group Sub group work Develop working relationships Review evidence - based requirements Keep focused on outcome / purpose Vision Pre – employment Transfer of information Immunisation Clearance KPI / Data to demonstrate

Achievements to date Vision Pre – placement – Core guidance document in consultation with group Transfer of information – Early stages – exploring new ESR OH Interface. Need to consider arrangements if ESR not possible Immunisation Clearance - all agreed with protocol flowcharts - TB / MMR / VZV / Hep B / EPP Regional KPI agreed / Data to demonstrate impact of programme still to be undertaken

Lesson Learned Ensure all group are fully briefed re: project New members to work stream often not briefed by employer - impacts on initial engagement Keep to focus of project / outcomes Don’t get distracted by local differences! Work in sub groups Gain agreement and feedback – more productive than big group discussions! KEY to success………… All need to participate – 1 in / All in

Next Steps Complete outstanding key areas Develop methods for clinical changes Governance when guidance changes e.g. TB NICE update During current programme and more importantly when programme completed. Collate data to demonstrate effectiveness Current activity (transfers within region & requirements) Associated costs
