YOUR RESEARCH PROJECT Your objective: Use the research from your research papers to find a solution for a social issue/problem. You will create a multi-media research project to convince the school or community to adopt your suggestion, supporting it with your research. Your project must include the three rhetorical appeals: pathos, logos and ethos. You will be creating the public service announcement in your groups

Requirements ■You must provide a thesis statement taking a clear position on the topic. ■You will use all three appeals: Pathos, Logos and Ethos to convince your audience that your solution or plan is the best. ■You must use 4-5 sources, including databases, vetted internet searches and print sources. You must use the research from each of these sources in your presentation. ■Your project must include a typed Works Cited Page, as well including the references in your project, i.e., in the credits, last slide on your PowerPoint etc. ■You will be presenting your idea to the class. We will select two projects to send to the principal/school board or city council. The class will vote on the best two projects. ■Projects may be: videos, PowerPoints, videos (on youtube), Prezies, or a website

What to do - ■Get into groups of 4 or 5 kids ■Take turns reading each research paper ■Choose one research paper to make into a public service announcement. ■You will need to draft your announcement and plan when you will create it. ■DELEGATE – make sure everyone has a role or task.
