I. The Significance of Baptism

1.This marks the beginning of His public ministry. 2.Its recorded three times 1.Matthew 3: Mark 1: Luke 3:21-22

3. Reasons for His baptism anointing's With water With oil With blood offices Priest Prophet, king priest fulfillment By John By Holy Ghost By Himself A. To identify with the three old testament offices and anointing's

II The Setting Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to the JORDAN unto John to be baptized…..

III. The Sign  Jesus was baptized

V. The Sound  This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.

The Voice reveals two things. 1. Christ is a Son That’s His Special Relationship.

2. Christ as Servant. That’s His saving Redemption
