Q3: The modern recycling movement in the United States actually started with a New York garbage barge in What was the name of the barge? The barge was called Mobro 4000 Q4: Why did Morehead City deny the New York barge permission to unload its garbage? Because people said that it contained medical waste that caused Morehead City to deny the barge to unload. Q5: The post-consumer plastics recycling business began in the United States after the city of Berkeley, California banned the use of polystyrene packaging used by what company?

Q1: The Recycling Of Paper The process of waste paper recycling involves mixing used paper with water and chemicals to break it down. It is then chopped up and heated, which breaks it down further into strands of cellulose, a type of organic plant material, this resulting mixture is called pulp, or slurry. It is strained through screens, which remove any glue or plastic that may still be in the mixture then cleaned, de- inked, bleached, and mixed with water. Then it can be made into new recycled paper.
