Partnership Elita Cakule, Head of International Projects Department

Step 1: Defining your interest Why get involved? What is the right motivation? What is your capacity as an organisation? What are your strengths and weaknesses? What would you like to learn, what can you offer? What is your target area of cooperation? NB: If you conclude that you cannot become a project partner, there are still other ways to take part in bilateral co-operation.

Step 2: Establishing contact with a partner Fundamental questions: Are you compatible with the partner? Will you have time to develop a project proposal in time for an open call? Is this programme the right one for your interest area? Who can help? Possibilities: Financial support through seed money funds may be available Match-making seminars

Step 3: Developing and submitting a project application Promoter - from beneficiary country, Norwegian organisation – a partner Project must target the open call for proposals Define your (and partners) role and contribution to the project Agree on budget (negotiation) Regulated in partnership agreement Deadline of submitting a proposal

Success factors Be proactive! Stay informed about what is happening out there Start planning early (read about programmes, open calls, many possibilities) Think long term benefits Overcome difficulties Seek help along the way Elita Cakule: ;
