Jesus Is Presented in the Temple 2222Then it was time for their purification offering, as required by the law of Moses after the birth of a child; so his parents took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord. 23The law of the Lord says, “If a woman’s first child is a boy, he must be dedicated to the LORD.” a 24So they offered the sacrifice required in the law of the Lord—“either a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.” b23 a 24 b The Prophecy of Simeon 2525At that time there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon. He was righteous and devout and was eagerly waiting for the Messiah to come and rescue Israel. The Holy Spirit was upon him 26and had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. 27That day the Spirit led him to the Temple. So when Mary and Joseph came to present the baby Jesus to the Lord as the law required, 28Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, saying, He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and he is the glory of your people Israel!”

3333Jesus’ parents were amazed at what was being said about him. (see your child's purpose and see Gods destiny on them) 52Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people52 The Prophecy of Anna 3636Anna, a prophet, was also there in the Temple. c She never left the Temple but stayed there day and night, worshiping God with fasting and prayer. c 3838She came along just as Simeon was talking with Mary and Joseph, and she began praising God. She talked about the child to everyone who had been waiting expectantly for God to rescue Jerusalem. 3939When Jesus’ parents had fulfilled all the requirements of the law of the Lord, they returned home to Nazareth in Galilee. 40There the child grew up healthy and strong. He was filled with wisdom, and God’s favor was on him.40 Age 12 again 5252Jesus grew in Wisdom and in Stature and in Favor with God and all the people

Jesus died for our sins already we cant do anything to get rid of their sin Jesus did it all God made covenant with Abraham Isaac and Jacob He is a generational covenantal God We are here saying I want my child to follow in my footsteps in my love for Jesus His word and His bride the church All you are doing is rededicating your already covenant child back to God who gave you them in the first place

We need to pray for our children for Wisdom and Discernment they wont get it if you just pray for it you need to model it Children listen with their eyes not their ears Model wisdom in every area of life The way we live Relationships Broken wings, don’t pass these on, deal with them ask for wisdom, which starts with the fear of God We have the mind of Christ Passing on any negativity bad parenting styles Don’t be reactive be proactive Be a wise parent and you will produce wise children, not perfect children Look for alternatives to saying no, get your child to think

Keep connections Jesus grew in favour with God and man Teach them that their primary connection is with God and then yourselves Teach them to come to you to run to you, to run to God “If a child stays in connection with his/her parents, God favour will follow! I can guarantee you that”

Connection Destroyers Fear based parenting Amygdala fight or flight panic anxiety Releases adrenaline and hormones Responds to non verbal signs of anger Avoidance, defensiveness and fear God put it there I didn’t It manifests through domination Children are also people Intimidation threats of punishment = Rebellion

God didn’t say I'm sending you the punisher He said I'm sending you the Holy Spirit the helper comforter and guide. We model heaven to our children Lets produce children who walk in the love of God and who are confident in their relationship with their parents who will run to their Heavenly Father and parents and not from them Build children who want to stay in favour with you and heaven Enjoy your children

STATURE Stature in health Full potential Confident in relationships with a Developed self esteem Who they are in God What God did to personally restore a relationship with them Called of God

Lord Jesus today I dedicate my life and ways to you. Thank you for Your love for me for forgiving me for everything I have done wrong, Holy Spirit I ask that you would lead me as the parent of this child by coming into me and taking control In Jesus name

I ________ dedicate my child_________ back to you today. Father God I ask for both wisdom and favour on our lives as parents and on my child’s life. I ask that you would enable us to be the best parent’s to this child, knowing that You, Father deliberately chose us to parent this child. I promise to impart to them a love for you and for others. A love for your word and your bride the church here on earth. I promise today to take care of this child that you have given me as a gift. To pray for this child, to cover, protect, provide and love them. Help me to release my child into their full potential here on earth. In Jesus name
