OUTLINE GANTT CHART AND TEAM PROGRESS MEDUSA 01’S MAKING MATERIALS USED TO CREATE MEDUSA 01 THE ROBOT’S LOCOMOTION MEDUSA 01 AND ITS PROGRAMMING

GANTT CHART (UPDATED ON 22/11/2013)

ORGANIZATION CHART

MEDUSA01MEDUSA01 OUR ROBOT

 More agile and easy for moving  More longer and beautiful  You can add additional links to lengthen  Easily overcomes obstacles MEDUSA 01 RESEMBLES A SNAKE

MEDUSA 01 HEIGHT : 16 CM WIDTH : 15 CM LENGTH : 50 CM

 Main Body Seven Styrofoam cups. Designed By Vinosyah.  Tail Egg cartons. 5 pieces were tied together to enhance the look of the robot. Instead robots eyes we put the light emitting diodes  Eyes Light Emitting Diodes (L.E.D) – colour : red  Base Two segments of wooden plank. The first segment has TWO pairs of wheels and the Second has ONE PAIR. MATERIALS USED FOR MEDUSA 01

 Polystyrene cups as the head and body - light, makes a great snake body  Egg cartons - small, light, able to give a make believe snake rattle  Spray paint -black, give a scaly effect on the snake, contrast color with the led red eyes  Wooden planks - hard, light, able to support heavy weights  Wheels - small, makes a slithering locomotion WHY IS MEDUSA 01 SO SPECIAL?

 It is environmental friendly as we used recycling things  Cheap and affordable  Easy to get (around the house) WHY DID WE USED THOSE MATERIALS?

Why use a gearbox? Why don’t you just connect the wheels to the engines instead of using a gearbox? What does a gearbox do? What are the different components in the gearbox? HOW DOES MEDUSA 01 SLITHER?

Arduino Board Wifi Shield Motor Controller THE CONNECTIONS

i)Upload the example “Blink” onto the Arduino Board. ii)Remove from cable and put on the WiFi shield. iii)Use PuTTY programme to set AT commands and establish connection. iv)Set the WiFi shield to ‘WiFi’ status. v)Disconnect it and remove the wifi shield from the Arduino Board. vi)Connect the Arduino Board to the computer and upload the doings(TYPE A). vii)Connect it with the WiFi shield and the motor controller. HOW ARE THEY CONNECTED?

BY SETTING ARDUINO BOARD TO BLINK FIRST: -Coding can be seen clearly -The connections can be done in a clear and proper manner

Have a nice day ahead THANK YOU
