All Rights Reserved Data Synchronization in Tally.ERP 9 Data Synchronization is the process of replicating data between two or more locations using Tally.ERP 9 in a Client – Server environment. It enables the branch offices to send data to the head office and vice versa, over the Internet or a private network. Data Synchronization flows both ways, all data of masters and transactions from the Client company (Branch) goes to the Server (Head Office) and all similar data from the Server gets copied to the Client.

Tally.ERP 9 offers control over the frequency of Synchronization i.e., Data can be replicated after each transaction or updated at specific intervals.

Synchronization using IP Address is a default feature available in Tally.ERP 9.

Ensure that the same set of features are activated in F11: Features for both the companies at the Client and Server. 2. Do not alter Accounting or Inventory masters. If altered, it will get updated as a new master during synchronization. 3. In cases where masters have been altered, the correction needs to be made manually in the Server and Client systems.

Instead, cancel the vouchers using ALT+X, which ensures that the voucher remains in the system. 5. Do not use a back-up of company created and restore it at the other location for synchronization. The data will not get synchronized.
